The Euglena is an organism, which possesses both the characteristics of plants and animals, as it can move with a flagella and also contains chlorophyll. Its nutrition is mixotrophic. Notes : Euglena is a genus of single cell flagellate eukaryotes. It is the best known and most widely studied member of the class Euglenoidea. Species of Euglena are found in both freshwater and salt water.
