To appear for JEE Advanced 2025, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Performance in JEE Main: Must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates in B.E./B.Tech (Paper I) of JEE Main 2025.

  • GEN-EWS: 10%
  • OBC-NCL: 27%

  • ST: 7.5%

Conducted by: Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) | Mode: Online | Multiple Rounds

The JEE Advanced 2025 Counselling Process is managed by JoSAA and consists of multiple steps, ensuring candidates secure admission into top engineering institutes, including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.

Step-by-Step Counselling Process:
  • Step 1: Registration – Candidates must log in to the JoSAA portal and register using their JEE Advanced credentials.
  • Step 2: Choice Filling & Locking – Candidates can select their preferred IITs, NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs based on rank and interest.
  • Step 3: Seat Allotment – JoSAA will release seat allotment results in multiple rounds.
  • Step 4: Acceptance & Fee Payment – Candidates must accept the allotted seat and pay the seat acceptance fee.
  • Step 5: Reporting to the Institute – Final step involves document verification and reporting to the allotted institute.
Additional Counselling for JEE Main:

For JEE Main candidates, apart from JoSAA, there is another counselling body known as CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board), which conducts special rounds:
