Ultimate Guide for BITSAT 2025

Admissions to all Integrated First Degree (FD) programs at BITS Pilani campuses in Pilani, K K Birla Goa, and Hyderabad for the academic year 2025-26 will be based on the BITS Admission Test – 2025 (BITSAT-2025).

Candidates aspiring for BITSAT-2025 must fulfill the following conditions to be eligible for the entrance examination:

• Candidates must have completed their 12th-grade examination under the 10+2 system from a recognized Central/State board or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of five subjects is required, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, one Language, and one additional subject.
• Candidates must secure an aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with at least 60% marks in each subject individually.
• Both theory and practical components must be considered while calculating percentages.
• Students currently enrolled in any BITS program or those who passed 12th in 2023 or earlier are not eligible for BITSAT-2025.
• Admissions are purely merit-based, determined by BITSAT-2025 scores and fulfillment of the minimum 12th-grade marks criteria.

BITSAT-2025 is a computer-based test consisting of 130 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into four parts:

• Part I: Physics
• Part II: Chemistry
• Part III: (a) English Proficiency & (b) Logical Reasoning
• Part IV: Mathematics

Question Distribution

Important Test Rules

• No time limit for individual sections; candidates can revisit and modify answers within the 130 questions.
• Each correct answer earns +3 marks, while each incorrect response results in a penalty of -1 mark.
• If all 130 questions are attempted, an additional 12 bonus questions will be available (3 each from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning).
• Once the bonus questions are unlocked, candidates cannot return to the original 130 questions.
• Every test set is generated randomly from a large question bank, ensuring uniqueness for each candidate.
• The test is conducted only in English. Candidates must bring a pen for rough work; a scratch pad will be provided at the center.
• Electronic devices, calculators, and log tables are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
• Candidates must carry a Hall Ticket to the exam center. Identity verification includes fingerprint and photograph matching.

‘Computer Based Online Test’ means that candidates will take the exam on a computer, where questions will be displayed on the monitor, and answers will be selected using a keyboard or mouse. The test is conducted online, making it different from traditional paper-based exams.
