The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct the OMR-based WBJEE-2025 for admission into:
Eligible candidates can apply for admission to Universities, Government Colleges, and Self-Financing Institutes across West Bengal for the academic session 2025-26.
The WBJEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria is essential for every applicant before filling out the application form. The official criteria include citizenship, age limit, educational qualification, domicile requirements, and minimum marks.
| π Citizenship: | Applicant must be an Indian citizen or an OCI (subject to Competent Authority approval). OCI candidates can apply for only Unreserved seats in the All-India quota. |
| π Age Restriction: | The minimum age required is 17 years (as of 31.12.2025). Candidates must be born on or before 31.12.2008. There is no upper age limit, except for Marine Engineering, where the maximum age is 25 years (as of 31.12.2025). |
| π Educational Qualification: | Candidates must have passed (or be appearing for) the 12th standard (10+2) or its equivalent examination in 2025. |
| π Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam: | At least 45% for General category and 40% for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD candidates. |
| π Domicile Requirements: |
- Candidates seeking admission in Government-aided colleges, reserved category seats, and certain private colleges must be domiciled in West Bengal. - 90% of general category seats at Jadavpur University are reserved for WB domiciled candidates. - For reserved category seats (SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD, TFW, EWS), the domicile requirement is mandatory. - Applies to admission at Aliah University, as it is a State Government University. |
