Basic Information of WBJEE 2025

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct the OMR-based WBJEE-2025 for admission into:

Eligible candidates can apply for admission to Universities, Government Colleges, and Self-Financing Institutes across West Bengal for the academic session 2025-26.

WBJEE 2025 Exam Eligibility Criteria

The WBJEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria is essential for every applicant before filling out the application form. The official criteria include citizenship, age limit, educational qualification, domicile requirements, and minimum marks.

🌍 Citizenship: Applicant must be an Indian citizen or an OCI (subject to Competent Authority approval). OCI candidates can apply for only Unreserved seats in the All-India quota.
πŸŽ‚ Age Restriction: The minimum age required is 17 years (as of 31.12.2025). Candidates must be born on or before 31.12.2008. There is no upper age limit, except for Marine Engineering, where the maximum age is 25 years (as of 31.12.2025).
πŸŽ“ Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed (or be appearing for) the 12th standard (10+2) or its equivalent examination in 2025.

- Applies to admission at Aliah University, as it is a State Government University.

All questions will be Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ), with four options against each question. The number of questions and marking scheme are given in the table below:

  • The WBJEE exam will be conducted offline using an OMR-based system.
  • Each WBJEE paper will have a duration of two hours.
  • The WBJEE 2025 exam will feature three categories of questions, each with a different marking scheme.
  • PwD candidates appearing at the Board’s Kolkata office will receive an additional 20 minutes per paper.
  • PwD candidates who are blind or visually impaired may use a scribe with a lower qualification than the candidate.

WBJEE OMR Instructions

Ensure proper marking to avoid disqualification.

Students will be provided with an OMR sheet to record their answers. It is crucial to follow the correct procedure while filling out the WBJEE OMR Sheet. Below are the key instructions:

  • Responses must be marked on the OMR sheet provided during the exam.
  • Use a blue or black ballpoint pen to completely darken the correct answer circle.
  • Do not use a tick, dot, cross, incomplete filling, pencil, erasing, or any marks outside the circle. These will be considered invalid.
  • Once marked, answers cannot be changed or erased.
